Dr. McCharen has served as the Assistant State Director for Career and Technical Education in Oklahoma where she was instrumental in the development and implementation of clusters in the state.  She is presently filling the Francis Tuttle Endowed Chair in the College of Education at Oklahoma State University. 

 
Ann Benson

Dr. Benson is a former state director of Career and Technology Education and in that role supervised the development of 11 of the 16 clusters for USDOE, Office of Adult and Vocational Education through a contract with her state.  Dr. Benson co-developed the 81 sample plans of study, has worked extensively with all 16 National Career Cluster Committees and has presented numerous workshops on the local, state and national levels.

 
Fran Beauman

Dr. Beauman is a former state director of Career and Technical Education in the State of Illinois. Fran is the national cluster leader for the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Cluster and has been involved in the project since its inception. 

 
Pam ela J. Kirk

Pam until recently was the director of the Career Clusters project for the State Directors Association and is nationally recognized for her expertise in this field.  Pam has been involved in the development of clusters since the movement's very beginning and has facilitated much of the progress made to date with the adoption and implementation of Career Clusters. 

 
Gene Benson

Gene Benson is a former Career Tech Teacher, Principal and Public School District Superintendent.  He co-developed the sample plans of study and has worked with all 16 of the National Career Cluster Committees.  Further he has presented workshops on cluster development and implementation on the local, state and national levels. 

Laurance Warford

 Larry Warford is a Senior Workforce Consultant and Project Director for the College and Career Transitions Initiative (CCTI) for the League for Innovation in the Community College. Prior to joining the League, he was a community college administrator at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, and Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. At both Lane and Iowa Central he supervised large instructional programs including Adult and Continuing Education and Career Tech education. He was an advocate for lifelong learning and thinking “out of the box” to find ways to serve people of all ages. He has also worked for the American Association of Community Colleges and was a community college liaison for the U.S. Department of Labor.
