Benson Education provides customized consulting services through presentations, workshops, technical assistance and research to progressive school districts, postsecondary institutions, state agencies and others in exciting school reform efforts including the design and implementation of Career Clusters, Pathways, Plans of Study, Data Collection, Technology Integration, and Research on the Impact of Reform Efforts. The expertise of our staff in the areas of Cluster, Pathways and P.O.S. is unequaled. Ann Benson supervised the original development of eleven of the clusters. Pam Kirk served the National Association of State Directors of Career and Technical Education (NASDCTEc) as the director of the Career Clusters effort for seven years. Belinda McCharen is nationally and internationally known in the field of guidance and counseling. In addition, she served a major role in the development of Clusters in Oklahoma. Gene and Ann Benson developed the 81 sample P.O.S. working with all 16 National Career Cluster Committees. Benson Education has worked on this effort with numerous state departments of education as well as local school districts and Community Colleges. Larry Warford is the director of the College and Careers Transition Initiative for the League for Innovation in the Community College and has been involved with clusters and pathways since their inception.
